On behalf of the board we hope you and your families are all doing well during these strange times.  I am sure you are all missing hockey as much as we do and cannot wait to see you all back at the grounds of SCHA very soon however we need to address an urgent matter with all members.

It has been brought to our attention from the local community and various hockey members that over the past few weeks we have had some incidents at the SCHA facility of members jumping the fence around the turf facility and hockey sticks in hand accessing the turf.  This is very disappointing and disrespectful to not only our association but defying the local council laws along with government and health authorities directives.

We reiterate again that the SCHA facility is in lockdown and there is no hockey related activities or unauthorised access to the SCHA grounds during this time.  We ask that all members of SCHA and the community respect this (this includes golf activities on the grass fields). We are hoping hockey returns soon but in the meantime we need everyone to play their part and follow the rules.

We are very fortunate to have a local community and hockey members who assist in monitoring the activities around the complex and report back to the Board.

Yours in hockey

Kerry – Secretary SCHA
